This is not easy to read. I'm barely 50 pages in, and my heart is already being wrenched to pieces. A fictional story that examines the very real problem of human-animal conflict. I can already tell that the author is purposely painting a picture in which the lines of right vs wrong and good guy vs bad guy are blurred. #currentlyreading #emotionalread #elephant #india 🐘

Maybe it's because I didn't get enough sleep last night (travel complications and delays, ugh) but this end of series was a super #emotionalread. The first two may have been better all around stories, but I loved the drama and originality of these books and where Hamilton took them. Heartily recommend the whole series 💕 #readingresolutions

So it has taken me a couple of days to come to terms with the beauty and elegance of this book. It deals with a subject matter that is typically difficult to talk about (suicide) in a respectful, creative, and inspiring way. It illustrated the power of family.
