Pickpick

Although there was a HUGE #TriggerWarning at the beginning, I really enjoyed this book.

Loosely based on the #Fairytale Donkey Skin by Charles Perrault, this was an intense but beautiful read.

Recovering from a trauma that has forced her memories into hiding, Lissar and her dog Ash are struggling to survive a harsh winter. When intuition guides her to the golden city, she gets a job in the king's kennels and discovers her past.

elkeOriginal Yeah, I love McKinley and hate this book. Too much. 8y
Bookworm54 @elkeo I'm hoping the rest of the book makes up for it. I am at least glad that Ash didn't actually die! 8y
elkeOriginal I don't remember details now so I can't promise anything about how it ends! 8y
ScientistSam This one is tough to read but I remember really appreciating it on rereading 8y
