I was looking forward to reading this, but although it showed flashes of occasional promise, it was a bit of a letdown. The characters felt very sketchily drawn to me & I struggled with feeling invested in their stories. I expected it to be a much darker plot than it turned out to be & I was left feeling a bit dissatisfied with the book. 2.5⭐
Ok supernatural horror 6/10
Here are some #Scarathlon2020 appropriate reads I snagged on Libby yesterday plus one of my library holds that I've been saving for this month. I'm ready to dive in! Which one should I start with?

I really enjoyed the premise of this book. I thought it started out well and had a really great concept. It reminded me of It by Stephen King in parts with the idea of something in a town that is unknown and scary. I just felt like it fizzled our by the end instead of gaining momentum to keep my interest.
It's here! My next #ScreamsbyMail read. @danibolahood thanks so much! (Not pictured: coconut M&M's I've already snacked on 🙈)
This looks really dark and I'm definitely in the mood for it!
Following up my massage with a horror book and a Chai Porter 😏
