Well, I've taken the plunge and upped my reading goal on Goodreads. I'll #BlameItOnLitsy and all the great comics and short novels I've been adding into my reading this year. Hopefully I won't regret it later....
It's surreal to remember how many years I set it at 100 but couldn't reach it and thought to myself, how do people do that?

carys14 I was overzealous and set mine to 100 this year since I did surprisingly reach 100 last year. I am currently 8 books behind HOWEVER at one point I was 11 behind so there is still time.....I think. 😊 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @carys14 It sounds like you are slowly catching up either way, so don't give up. But every year is different and it's so random, some books are just much longer than others, and I've definitely noticed since I picked up a few comic recommended here on Litsy it's swelled my numbers a bit. 7y
carys14 Well one thing that is slowing me down is Fiery Cross. Good lord that book is long. I am doing it on audio. All FIFTY-FIVE AND A HALF HOURS! 7y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @carys14 Yea, that book's one reason the goal should probably be in pages and not books. That book's the length of about 3 regular books. I remember thinking that the year I read Game of Thrones. 7y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @SealedWithInk Don't feel bad, I set mine at 100 for years and never made it. I think the first year I actively counted them I hit about 40, and I know there were years before Goodreads where I read way less than that. But every year it crept up a tiny bit more, and it wouldn't be as high as it is now if it wasn't also counting comic books, and short stories etc. 7y
