Thanks, #NetGalley!! Being a shark lover, this cover drew me right in to this #OwnVoices coming-of-age tale. It‘s marketed as a thriller and while I must admit that all of my guesses about the plot turned out to be right, the stellar 1979 Baja California setting makes this feel fresh and really wonderful. I wish there had been more live sharks, but it‘s a satisfying read. Viridiana makes for a great heroine who comes into her own in this one!
Meh- this #KindleUnlimited title wasn‘t the mystery/thriller I was hoping for... it‘s a straightforward story with the main twist easily predictable... There are a few surprises but not many. I never felt all that connected to the characters but the audio performance is well done. I just never found musket all that anxious to get back to this #BookSetByWater. #FebruaryFeels #AudioColoring
This is actually on the docket for March but I may get to it this month depending on how things go. We shall see 😉

#februaryfeels #booksetbywater I realized I don‘t have a lot on my tbr set by water.
Clover and Fergus are the great-great-grandchildren of Wendy Darling (yes, that Wendy). And now Peter Pan wants to take them to Neverland for the adventure of their lives! But Clover‘s a little nervous–she‘s supposed to look after her brother. Fergus is autistic, and not everyone makes him feel welcome. What will happen to him in this magical world?

I love the Caribbean and both of these books came to mind.

Three books I read about the deadliest natural disaster ever-a perfect storm (pun intended) of building too close to the gulf, ill-preparedness, and an ineffective sea wall. So tragic.
