I enjoyed my #BOTM pick for this month! Fast-paced & entertaining, I read this in practically one sitting! Stava nicely mounts the tension in her debut where Sloane‘s lies add to the unsettling feeling as she inserts herself in the lives of Violet, Jay & Harper. The pace really picks up in the latter half with some real, satisfying surprises (though perhaps not perfectly plausible in the long run). It hooked me & I‘m excited for more from Stava!

My 3rd March #Roll100 (#74 Any #BOTM ) There were parts of this that I liked better than Butcher & Blackbird & the series premise (serial killer romance) is good but there is a lot that makes me think “I‘m too old for this s%#*!” Lark‘s giggling was annoying & as I went between the audiobook & my BOTM copy (purchased before I read the first book) the narrator‘s many giggles made me want to remove someone‘s eyeballs.👁️⬇️

This is an old #BOTM for December 2021. I didn‘t like the books for that month (in the month I was supposed to be choosing from), or none appealed to me, so they allowed me to choose from certain other BOTM‘s, so I did and something happened that I didn‘t get to read it until now. I can‘t remember what it was bc I have to remember so much that my brain can‘t contain it all.😑Butimglad2breadingnow

This book beautifully exposes the expansiveness of love, etching itself right into the heart. How we can choose to add to destruction or choose to care for one another. How it‘s worth the fight because sometimes things can survive despite all odds. How loss is a painful reality, but we keep loving anyway. How love doesn‘t dissolve with the body - it carries on. #BOTM
