After 🩰 exam rehearsal on Sun I did over Vinnies. Grand total🟰 $23. The 📕 includes a gorgeous pop up. Afterwards I went to the Veteran‘s markets but every1 was packing up so I didn‘t come away with anything. I usually come away with lots. I walked home picking up a click & collect on the way, I visited the Metro for groceries, had my Zoom 🩰 class then visited my aunt who was staying in the apartments next 🚪. My favourite cousin was there too.

This is the author‘s debut published in 1995. It‘s published as a novel but feels like it has to be a memoir. A section on the character‘s father, one on the mother, one on the experience of ballet dancers, and one on falling for a married Russian immigrant. As I was reading it I thought the writing was too simple, but by the end I realized how impactful the descriptions were and how close I felt to the characters. #10BeforetheEnd #offtheshelf

Reggie That is how i felt about that camp Litsy book, the one with the robots, the writing was really simple and yet by the end I was all in. Nice review! 2d

2.5/5
I liked the 1st part when she puts into context the sculpture, when she gives info about Degas which offers a better understanding of the work itself, and its harsh reception at the time.
I didn't like the digressions: pointless comparison of hardship, emotional judgements... These made it harder to read. I would have preferred more emotional distance from the writer, more structure too. In the
end, we don't know much more about the model

2020 This book is beautifully illustrated and has so much symbolism within the pages. There not only is text but imagery and speach bubbles and shows a little girls emotions just within the pages.
