Happy Thanksgiving, litsy peeps
Starting some historical fiction, which I haven't read in quite some time.
An annual adventure with a high school friend ~ meeting between homes in Michigan & Indiana. Yesterday was opening day for the 100+ year old carousel. The middle horse in the top photo was carved by the original creator‘s son and found in Michigan. My 6 hour round trip drive 😳 was made bearable by listening to the tagged book.
What an interesting life - first being married to the famous (or infamous) Charles Lindbergh; second finally finding her own ‘voice‘. And of course the kidnapping of their first born son. HF

Fantastic HF exploring the life of Anne Morrow Lindbergh. She was a fascinating person in her own right, although she was usually overshadowed by her husband.
This was my first Melanie Benjamin novel. I found her writing to be quite excellent. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks to these Litsy folks for today‘s prompt:

Book club book for work. Took sometime to get into it and as someone not all that familiar with the Lindbergh‘s it had me researching into their real lives.
Day 4 - #Gift #SleighTheShelves

This is a very short book (143 Pgs) with lots of wisdom from Charles Lindbergh‘s wife, Anne Morrow Lindbergh. I enjoyed it very much and even though it was written in 1955 the messages are relevant even today. As it was a 2 hour 24 minutes audiobook, I would highly recommended to all!
