Give the Boys a Great Big Hand | 
pickThe hand in the title is literal. A large hand is discovered in a bag and the detectives of the 87th Precinct must discover the identity of both victim and killer. It‘s a good procedural with a heartbreaking ending. Dick Hill is the best narrator for the action scenes, although I don‘t think the intent was to make me laugh. His over-the-top narration is hysterical.
pickDespite the way the cover looks, the name of the book is NOT Ed McBain #petpeeve Anyway, I have been reading through the 87th Precinct books and thoroughly enjoying them. Quick reads with a large dose of humor. A bit "of the time" in the racism/sexism department, although McBain plays it rather tongue-in-cheek than seriously. All in all, good fun with likable characters.
When the Beatles said #IWantToHoldYourHand, they meant that the hand should still be attached to the person's body...

My "boy(s)" in the title for #feistyfeb. I have either not read this or it's been so long since I did that rereading would be like reading it for the first time.
