I. Just. Can't.

The writing is poor, repetitive and absolutely boring. I NEVER not finish a book but I have to make an exception for this.

It's midnight and I'm up with this little stinker waiting for her to hit the hay. I'm still really unsure about this book. It's incredibly repetitive. If I read one more sentence about how tall and heavy Marm Mandelbaum was, I may very well scratch out my own eyes. I foresee this being a "bail". The writing is just so bad.

Started this today and so far I'm on the fence. I LOVE Gilded Age NYC history, but this isn't really jiving with me yet.
