Listened to a really interesting talk by Wendy Jones yesterday at Goldsmiths on her book The Sex Lives of English Women. A series of interviews in which real women from all backgrounds talk frankly about their sexual lives. Absolutely fascinating!

The last of the holiday paperbacks. There are 24 stories in this and probably less than half a dozen that didn't leave me feeling miserable about the women in then. None of the experiences in this resonated with me - and I ended feeling depressed about the state of women's lives - sexual and otherwise. The Boy read it as well and was exasperated by it. A disappointment.
I let The Boy pick the paperbacks we brought on holiday from a shortlist from the pile. He's just finished this and rated it "a bit dull" - it's my last paperback left to read and I'm less excited about it than I was now!
