The good: well-written, well-drawn characters, a rich setting. Great romance, if you head-canon away the incest—I had to. The plot was meandering but it held my attention.

The less good: It tried to do too much. Her missing friend was a background thing while the romance was front & center. Then it turns into a suspenseful thriller that felt like an entirely different book. The protagonist makes bizarre choices, and not JUST the incest. 6/10⭐️
