4⭐ This book was interesting. I think it did a better job than that little people big world books did. I applaud the author for putting on the very first page of the book that Thomas Jefferson had slaves. And while it does mention his children with his wife it never mentions his children with his enslaved people. I think that is it a disservice and forgetfulness of history. If his legitimate kids are mentioned, his illegitimate kids should be too.
