I‘ve read a little bit of Oodgeroo‘s poetry before, but I didn‘t realise how funny she is.

Going back in time a bit for #woman crush Wednesday. This week I'm picking Ooodgeroo Noonuccal, an Aboriginal poet and activist. Her work was some of the earliest encounters with Aboriginality and social justice that I had during my formative years.

BookishFeminist Wow, her stuff looks great. I've never heard of her--thanks so much for bringing her to my attention. 😊 I'm going to track down some of her things now--hope they're available in the US! 9y
Sue My pleasure. I hope you succeed, she was a great lady. @BookishFeminist 9y
