Diary of a Worm
Diary of a Worm | Doreen Cronin
2 posts | 9 read | 1 to read
This is the diary . . . of a worm. Surprisingly, a worm not that different from you or me. Except he eats his homework. Oh, and his head looks a lot like his rear end. Doreen Cronin, the New York Times best-selling author of CLICK, CLACK, MOO and GIGGLE, GIGGLE, QUACK, teams up with illustrator Harry Bliss for this hysterical journal about the daily doings and the hidden world of a lovable underground dweller.

Pickpick

Diary of a Worm is another comical F book for the bestselling, acclaimed author-illustrator duo Doreen Cronin and Harry Bliss. This cute collection of diary entries from a funny worm, who enjoys all the simple things in life, is definitely a fun read for any young reader. The Bug Diaries are a packed full of activities for your classroom! #LAE3414sp19

melindamcmullen84 There are a lot of great activities and ideas on https://westonwoods.scholastic.com/products/westonwoods/catalog/searchtitleresul... and http://doreencronin.com/books/bug-diaries/ I think this would be a great RA book that could help introduce journal entries for the class. melindamcmullen84 I think ESOL 4 would work because the daily activities of the worm link to prior knowledge of what worms are good for and/or do for the earth. UDL 2.5 could work through the different websites because there are visual and hearing aids for these stories. 6y
DrSpalding I appreciate your focus on hearing impaired children and resources that would help them. Well done! The Diary of series is one that should be in most elementary classes! 6y
dayuso1 This looks hilarious. Also, great idea to activate prior knowledge about worms when diving into this book. It could potentially be cross-curricular with science to study worms! 6y
Edenmonet Diary of a Worm looks like such a cute book! I really loved how the activities you shared allows students with visuals and hearing aids to be involved as well! 6y
