Squirrel Girl starts to grow on you after awhile. I found that once I understood the humor in the comics I was able to enjoy it more.

I don't know why I laughed so hard at this.

Enjoy!
I‘m always here for Special Guest Star Pizza Dog, especially when he becomes BFFs with literally any other superhero‘s animal companion (in this case, Mew).
A morning with Squirrel Girl, coffee and homemade oatmeal chocolate chip breakfast cookies. The kids are back in school - more specifically one is in school right now and the other will be in school in about three hours. Am I counting down the hours? Maybe!
How‘s your Monday going?
Still silly and light. Doreen puts a smile on my face, but also I loved Mew's cameo and Doreen's birthday was sad, sweet, & cute all mixed up.
It's hard to read that little print at the bottom, but libraries ARE awesome and librarians ARE more awesome 😄 (also, as much as I love camping, I can relate Doreen, I can relate.)
Just opened my #GeelyGraphicNovelSwap and I'm so excited! Thank you @Shadowfat 👏👏 I have wanted to try Squirrel Girl for quite a while, and that Ms. Marvel comic looks super fun! This is actually the first time reading single issue comics, so you littens who are more well versed in comics than I must help me. Can I read the comics even though I don't have the read the first issues? Or should I see this as a sign to go buy the first issues? 😄
Hooray for days that aren't nearly as hot as you thought they were going to be.
Five stars for the Mew issue! 😻😻😻 The rest was good too.
COMIC UNIVERSES COLLIDE with my new page markers. 😁
Nancy's response when she and Doreen find out their vacation getaway has no electricity/internet access. I think Nancy and I would be best friends.
I'm not sure if the Twitter pages are the best part of Squirrel Girl. But they might be.
Settled down to continue my comic. Correction: attempted to settle down to continue my comic. Hi, Mr Darcy. Yes, I see you. #catsoflitsy
Contemplating this Squirrel Girl outfit for my next cosplay. But how to make the tail (and wear a tail stylishly in a wheelchair)?
"I won't spend my entire gift card and some extra $$ besides on the Marvel Kindle sale," I said.
"I'll exercise RESTRAINT," I said.
Then HAWKEYE and every volume of SQUIRREL GIRL just leaped into my Kindle library. Honest.
(They cost me about $6.60 CAD after I exhausted the gc--which had about $5 USD left on it--and I wouldn't have hesitated to spend that on print editions, soooo....)
I really enjoyed Squirrel Girl initially, but by vol. 5 it's starting to get a bit repetitive for me. It's still funny as hell, Doreen and her pals are fun, and Brain Drain will always be my favorite nihilistic brain in a jar, but this is definitely a library check out rather than a purchase imo. But if you're looking for a superhero for the younger set Squirrel Girl is a great option!
These Canadian action figures are 100% accurate. Especially PALactus with his antlers and his joviality.
Brain Drain knows stuff, y'all.
Dear Americans: please don't teleport into our country whenever you want. We're happy to help you out at any of our established border crossings.
Powers of squirrel AND powers of girl could save us all.
Other things I love in these issues: Nancy Whitehead, Nancy's outfits, young Doreen's disdain for Sherlock Holmes, Brain Drain's nihilistic goodness, Northern Ontario lake life, diversity being our strength.
This volume was a delight. I loved the Canadian puns throughout. Also this volume includes the 25th anniversary issue which was really cute. We got to see Squirrel Girl growing up and meeting her first squirrel friend Monkey Joe.
