so-soWell, well, well. The cover says crime novel, and for 87% of this book, crime novel it was not. I spent several hours waiting for a murder to pop out and surprise me, from the pages of sad domestic drama. I even texted the cover to my friend and said “does this look like a crime novel to you?” Without being spoilery, the last 10% of this book gave slight crime vibes but this was framed in some substantially improbable content.
