pickFound this not knowing that it was about two serial killers who may be working together…gemstones and the ten plagues are the killers calling card. Jena the Pittsburgh cop is on their trail to save Jack and the jurors of Silas who may be innocent but incarcerated. Quick read. Scary. 😱
pickEven though the outcome is somewhat obvious, it still delivers- reads like a Criminal Minds episode, which is always fun!
pickI have to say J.D. Barker doesn't get the credit or accolades he deserves. 'Heavy Are The Stones' is a collaboration with Christine Daigle. They wrote a fabulous book together.
The characters were well built. I enjoyed the development of Jena Campbell. She struggled with a heavy decision. She's a detective with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. Detective Campbell made a decision 5 years ago, and now lives are in the balance.
