WHAT. A. GOOD. BOOK.🤯
You need to read book one first. WOW- I love a satisfying sequel.
The action picks up right on the back of the cliffhanger situation we are left with from book one, and the pace doesn‘t let up. I got through this in less than 48 hours and I‘m not sad about it. .
Lots of twists I didn‘t see coming. If you like myth and legend AND urban fantasy, this is a great mash up.
Thank to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc!

I loved this! It‘s a really nice, smart conclusion to the duology, and packed with plenty of twists to keep readers engaged. My only gripe might be that the Dramatis Personae contains a couple of spoilers.

*Beware the lil‘ baby spoiler below*
Me, reading anything with a “shaddowdaddy” type love interest: yeah, I don‘t get this…nobody would ever date this sort of broody, self-loathing nightmare man in real life.
Me, reading anything with a “sad, sorta reanimated corpse boi (tm)” love interest: Ah yes, this is the height of romance. May I have some more, please?

I‘m not sure what that says about my brain, but I‘m not mad about it 😂

#serieslove2024 A good ending to the duology and King Arthur re imagining. The Tamsin-Emrys love story kept me guessing. Our heroes are on the run trying to uncover secrets and deal with tons of plot twists, the bad guys are in control, and the magic world is in peril. The usual. Rating is same as book 1: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2

1. 2.75 - So-so. 1st in series. Simplistic and lacking good character/plot development.
2. 3.5 - Novella for series starter. Author is switching genres (romance to mystery). Stilted and characters need more charisma.
3. 3.5 - 1st in series. Not bad but hopefully more character development in future. Plot a little far-fetched. Out 7/30
4. 4.25 - Great ending to duology. Started a bit slow but definitely picked up. Lots of loss/sadness. Out 7/30🔻

robinb 5. 4.5 - 1st Rowell for me. Great characters, bittersweet/friends-to-lovers. A bit exasperated with leads at times but still a great book. Out 7/30
6. 4.75 - A fictional look into a very specific/interesting environment…the “real life” lives/struggles of high school teachers/staff. Chapters are basically short stories about the characters…both their professional and personal struggles/triumphs. Really enjoyed. Recommended.
