pickI was intrigued by the premise, but it moved a little too slow. I also feel like there needed to be more of a focus on Emilia. The narrative jumps between timelines, taking the reader on a journey both within the present and to the past. The audiobook for Sacrificial Animals was well done, however I really began to enjoy the audiobook more at ¾ of the way through the novel because that is when things really started to pick up.

I just saw that StoryGraph came out with a reading calendar feature. I‘m not done reading this month. I just wanted to show off the new feature. This is really cool. This would be really cool for end of the month reading wrap ups and it shows your DNFs.
1. My mom and I host Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house. I help my mom when she needs help. I can deal with hosting the holidays because I‘m not doing it by myself.
2. Tagged! It‘s a Netgalley ARC that I‘m reading next. I‘m focusing on priority reads this month.

I added the Netgalley ARCs I have to read on to these trackers. They say 2024 on them but I‘ll continue using them in 2025 in case I get accepted for more ARCs. I wanted to do this so I don‘t feel overwhelmed by my ARCs. I‘m tired because I had to get up early today. I had to let in a contractor to fix our AC because it was leaking really bad. I took a nap for the rest of the day after the guy left but it didn‘t help me and I feel like crap.
