This book was….ridiculous. The premise was preposterous (of course a man would know who you were if your husband killed his wife and child?) and the lack of morality & self-awareness of a character who was supposed to be intelligent enough to go to medical school for psychiatry was just…silly.

This is a story about obsession. It features a female psychiatrist as she learns to deal with the consequences of a tragedy she feels guilty about. It has a couple of great twists, a bit of spice and was very entertaining. I do question why many thriller authors, including this one, feel the need to portray their troubled female characters as very heavy drinkers when it is not necessary for the plot. -It showcases the deep descent into obsession splendidly.
-Vi Keeland is typically a romance writer who killed it with her first foray into the thriller genre.
-Aiden Snow‘s small part at the end was chef‘s kiss for both his performance and the closing of the story…things that make you go hmmm.

-The narrator's tone threw the story off for me and I had to keep reminding myself that she wasn't a 40-something female.

When I started this book I absolutely did not expect to read it in one day. But this book has quickly become one of my favorites.

The premise of this book was so intriguing to me and I loved every page of it. It was twisty and kept me guessing what was going on the entire time.

I was excited 2 jump in after reading the plot. I was curious 2 see how a tragic event would link them but what we got instead was a jumbled mix of alcohol-driven, ethics-breaking decisions from the MC, who apparently has at least 3 personalities throughout the book.

The problem is it feels like a romance author writing a suspense novel. There are times this reads more like a dark romance. A few times I also forgot what the plot of the story was.
