Again, a job well done for Bill Willingham and his artist crew. The story became better. getting you hooked and leaving your mouth open because everything is just so JUICY! The illustrations are simply the best. I did prefer Lan Medina's work than of Mark Buckingham though but still both are very impressive. If you've read the first two volumes, you would definitely LOVE this, more than the first 2.

I have always enjoyed reading fairy tales and fables. This graphic novel series has been a very enjoyable read! I must say the Big Bad Wolf, aka Bigby, has become my favorite character. I have even started playing the game based off of him called "The Wolf Among Us" ?

Eyelit I love Fables! So many great characters. They even did a graphic novel adaptation of the video game 😀 7y
Leslie2 Well I know what I need to add to my TBR @Eyelit ! Thanks!!! 7y

An excellent continuation - fairytale retellings are right in my wheelhouse, especially with a darker, more adult edge!

398.2 Sounds good! 8y

This isn't my favorite if the fables books but it does start my favorite storyline, that of Snow and Bigby. You do have to wade through quite a bit to get to it but it's worth it. Very worth it.

hlgreenfield Fables is so good! Some volumes are definitely better than others, but it's always a fun read 8y

Goldilocks vs Snow White. Really love the originality of this story. Snow and bigby have such good chemistry. This is a delight to read. I like how the fables longevity is tied to the human mundys reading of and liking of them. Just really well written. I'm reading the individual issues but putting in here as the collected books just for the ease of it.

Now that all groups have been introduced, this is the first adventure after that introduction. Meet some new characters like sleeping beauty. Prince Charming is everything you would want him to be. Loving this comic. In this story we learn how much time the tales have been forced to live among humans and how well that's working out for them.

Volume 3 complete. I enjoyed this volume but it did have a little bit more blood and then the last. I think I'll keep reading but not right now. I'll take a little break before I read volume 4.

I like the storyline that follows Snow and Bigby and I'll keep reading for them. I did also like the 2-issue arc using Briar Rose's enchantment to pull a heist of sorts. But it is sort of all-over the place and soapy (plus the opening issue Bag O'Bones was kind of icky)

Yossarian I really loved the first 75 issues, but lost interest after that. 9y
Imlostinbooks I just read the first 2 volumes this week! Interesting take on fairy tale characters. 9y
