The story of Lucy Westenra didn't end when she was turned into a vampire-- it was only beginning. This sapphic retelling alternates between diary entries from Lucy's time as a human, interviews about her past as a vampire, and the modern day perspective of Iris Godalming. Having just read Dracula for the first time, I loved how White re-intrepreted things and explained certain plot holes. An outstanding retelling.

I am so excited to get to this story about Lucy Westenra from Dracula! She was so young, and she deserved so much. I can‘t wait to see what this book does with one of my favorite horror novels.

I cannot even believe how much I love this book! It definitely has a slow pace, so don't go in expecting many action scenes until closer to the end. But if you're looking for a very detailed, thought invoking, queer story that gives Lucy Westerna back the agency she always deserved - I think you will love this book as much as I did! ❤️❤️❤️
