The Dead Letter Delivery
The Dead Letter Delivery | C.J. Archer
5 posts | 2 read | 1 to read
The discovery of long-lost mail delivers a marriage proposal, a missing person, and a magical mystery. A road trip with Gabe and her friends leads Sylvia to discover more about her mothers veiled past yet throws up several questions, too. The stack of unopened letters addressed to her family will hopefully provide answers. As she delves into the contents, a startling revelation emerges: the letters allude to a clandestine union between two magician families, hinting at the elusive identity of Sylvias father. Full of hope, she embarks on a quest to find the author of the letters, only to discover an artless youth who vanished decades ago, a dead man with the wrong name, and a hospital for former soldiers that connects them. The further Sylvia and Gabe delve into these mysteries, the more lies they expose, including long-buried secrets that certain individuals will stop at nothing to protect. When danger strikes, Sylvia wonders if finding answers is worth the risk.

Book #4 in The Glass Library series. Well no Matt & India yet, and Sylvia is still trying to figure out who her father is (I‘m pretty sure I know). But they did solve a cold case and have some adventure. And pretty soon there will be some romance I think.

1. I can sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame one word off. In other words, if “me” is the first word and it ends with “take.” It‘s not a useful talent, obviously 😄

2. In the tagged book, Sylvia is a paper magician.

Consider yourself tagged.

While I didn‘t think this was as good as the previous books in this series, it was still an enjoyable read. In searching for clues about Sylvia‘s parents, she and her friends investigate the disappearance of a man who might have been her father. At this point , I don‘t think this would have been interesting if I hadn‘t read the previous books in the series. Great characters, and I‘m hooked on the story line.

Another morning spent in a doctor‘s office, getting a lot of reading done. The MC of the tagged book, Sylvia, is searching for answers about her mother‘s life. I think it‘s analogous to hubby‘s search for a conclusive answer to his medical issue. Sylvia is making progress; so are we.

Lynnsoprano @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @dabbe @Librarybelle Thanks ☺️ 😘 After 6 months of various doctors and therapies, we finally found out he has a bulging disc in his back. He has no back pain, but the pain doctor said his pain is likely caused by this. So hoping we‘re at the beginning of the end of this saga. 7mo

I‘ve enjoyed the previous books in this series, so I preordered this one, only to pass it up for a couple of months. Time to rectify that situation. Starting this now.
