Brunch and poetry 🍳🍳

I'm still figuring this book out. I picked it up for the 1904 World's Fair element. Its examination of language, especially the historical language of race and difference, is interesting. The poems are more narrative than I usually prefer, though. (I'm also reading this right after The Voyage of the Sable Venus, which probably isn't fair to do to any book.)
