This book made some interesting points but the first few chapters just struck me as ‘alarmist‘ journalism. Lots of generalisations and cherry picking data. I thought the anti therapy argument was a bit flawed. However, I totally agreed with the sentiment that helicopter parenting is doing children more harm than good. And somewhat agreed that not everything is a ‘trauma‘. It is sometimes just part of life. Teaching kids resilience is a good thing
