I did the slightly lopsided book & beer thing this afternoon and now I have MANY EMOTIONS about the tagged story from Reactor‘s Jan/Feb output. Lately, I‘ve read an awful lot of longer stories that didn‘t earn their length. This one absolutely did.

The beer is great, too—and yeah, I‘m shocked I‘m saying that about an IPA. Strong flavour on all fronts. I‘m impressed.

TieDyeDude I had a good IPA today, too. Maybe the industry is finally done trying to drown everyone in hops. I liked that Reactor story a lot! 5mo
xicanti @TieDyeDude we can hope! This one was still pretty hop-forward, but the other flavours provided a great balance. 5mo
tournevis I like that story too! 5mo

Pickpick

“Imagine human culture as a tree and the human zeitgeist spreading outward like myriad branches. If you live in the trunk, the place of physical closeness and solidarity, you feel solid and grounded—but maybe also trapped. Move out toward the branch-tips of virtual experience and you have more and more freedom but less and less connection with neighboring branches. In-person loneliness is a direct consequence of this digital flourishing.“

Aimeesue That was a good read - thanks for sharing! 10mo
