When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions...and a member! They're eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they're sure to starve on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: "Let's eat the monsters!" Slimes, basilisks, and even dragons...none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!

This was a cute little graphic novel. I love how much “love“ they put into the cooking process :) The characters were super cute!

This is such a unique, fun romp filled with food references and humor. Just a delightful bit of light reading for a Saturday afternoon!

Mehso-so

When Laios and his D&D team run out of food and money, he and his team of a halfling rogue and a squeamish elven offensive mage join up with an experienced dwarven monster cook to feed themselves and take on the red dragon currently digesting Laios' sister.
It's a fun concept - the chapters are structured around recipes, which is fun. But the story to make this more than food-related episodes is fairly weak and lacks urgency and characterisation.

Still feeling in a Manga Mood, so consider the way of the warrior that involves rescuing a member of your adventuring party and eating every monster you come across.
I am a person with some mixed Worf emotions (mostly about his Bad Dad status), but I'm not mad he ended up on DS9.

Megabooks Did you like him better on TNG? 6y
khooliha @Megabooks I probably liked him better on DS9 - he had less parenting to do there. I also didn't especially like the Klingon episodes of TNG - I know I'm in the minority, but everytime it was an episode about Klingon politics I got bummed. 6y

This is the very first manga I‘ve ever read and it was for my book group. I really enjoyed it! I thought the panel sequence would be confusing but I caught on to reading right to left quickly. A group of adventurers loses a member to a dragon deep in a dungeon. To rescue her, they need to kill and eat the dungeon monsters to survive!

This turned out to be a lot of fun to read! The characters are stuck traversing a rather large dungeon and to make things easier on themselves that have agreed to try and eat the monsters they kill. It's an awesome little dungeon romp, with food and humor. It feels somewhat similar to the MMO manga out there but still feels really unique. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Can you guys believe I am at work? It's a super slow day for me personally. No one to email, no messed up orders to work my magic on and fix. So I am reading in my little cubby office. 😅 On manga number 3 for the day, and this one seems like it will be quite fun. A group of adventurers are stuck in a dungeon trying to save their friends and they only have the monsters they killed to eat.

Louise Stuck in a dungeon. . . In a little cubby office. . . Reading relatable material, it seems! 😂 Enjoy your slow day! ✨✨✨ 7y
InLibrisVeritas @Louise Everyone calls my office the cave, so it definitely fits 😅 7y

There's no way I could pick a favorite. Absolutely not. It's impossible.

I can, however, post what my very next Manga read will be?

Its about a bunch of broke ass dungeon crawlers who can't afford to buy food so they start experimentally eating the monsters they slay instead! Haven't read it yet but it's my next one up! 🙌

InLibrisVeritas This sounds awesome!! I'll have to add it to my list 7y
TricksyTails I have a weakness for food in manga. This looks especially interesting. I‘m curious to see what you think. #Stacked! 7y
Kallik93 One of my coworkers loved this series!! 7y

Dry, weird humor, lots of monsters to eat, the feel of a slightly off the rails tabletop session - I am way into this!
