Predictable, of course, but usually they are. 😊 I enjoyed it too much to care. I haven't read the other books in the series but they are on my to read list.
pickI read this for my book club at work, and it was a light, fun romcom. Maddie wants to get back at her ex-boyfriend to make him jealous. Her new friend Sebastian, who happens to be her ex-boyfriend's favorite hockey player, might just be the answer.

so-soThe book started with a gruesome break up from the FMC's perspective and I was immediately invested.
In this case the build up leading to marriage of convenience was nicely done and somehow a tad more realistic for this genre.
There wasn't really a lot of fake dating between the love pair which was a bit disappointing.
The comedy aspect was not really there.
The epilogue felt more like the deserved HEA.
