A bit different from the previous Cait Nary romances. This one is told from the POV of the non-hockey player. It‘s super sweet.

Cait Nary proves her romcom chops here. The first half is absolutely hilarious with the banter and the cuteness and the MOMENTS; the second settles into a still adorable and sweet but also a bit more serious look at how the characters relationship. IT‘S SO GOOD. If you‘re after a low-angst romance about people who‘re good to and for each other in really funny and affecting ways, you need to get LUCKY BOUNCE when it drops on January 9th.
Okay, so, I read this while I sat next to Rocco, who‘s the NICEST DOG who had the HARDEST START (his first family abandoned him and he lived rough up north for about a year) and now I‘m all emotional and weepy.
This book has a lot of dog talk in it, and a bunch of rescue dog profiles as part of a dog search for a little kid who wants a dog SO BAD. I love it so much.
I was mighty excited when Harlequin asked if I‘d like an ARC of Cait Nary‘s third book, LUCKY BOUNCE, because I loved her first so damned much. I started it this morning, in between doggie play sessions, and it‘s exactly the right note to start 2024. SEASON‘S CHANGE was wonderful but also high stress; LUCKY BOUNCE is pure delight. I‘m 9% in and I‘ve already grinned and giggled SO DAMNED MUCH.
I know what I‘m doing with my afternoon.
