From #1 New York Times bestselling author Michael Connelly: Lincoln Lawyer Mickey Haller enlists the help of his half-brother, Harry Bosch, to prove the innocence of a woman convicted of killing her husband. Defense attorney Mickey Haller is back, taking the long shot cases, where the chances of winning are one in a million. After getting a wrongfully convicted man out of prison, he is inundated with pleas from incarcerated people claiming innocence. He enlists his half brother, retired LAPD Detective Harry Bosch, to weed through the letters, knowing most claims will be false. Bosch pulls a needle from the haystack: a woman in prison for killing her husband, a sheriffs deputy, but who still maintains her innocence. Bosch reviews the case and sees elements that dont add up, and a sheriffs department intent on bringing quick justice in the killing of one of its own. Now Haller has an uphill battle in court, a David fighting Goliaths to vindicate his client. The path for both lawyer and investigator is fraught with danger from those who dont want the case reopened and will stop at nothing to keep the Haller-Bosch dream team from finding the truth. Packed with intrigue and courtroom drama, Resurrection Walk shows once again that Michael Connelly is the most consistently superior living crime fiction author (South Florida Sun Sentinel).

I bought this from a small selection of books at a supermarket and hadn‘t heard of the author despite him clearly being famous! I enjoyed it, he really projects a sense of place, and of a legal system which to non-US based readers is like a whole other world. Fast-paced and engaging.

Mickey Haller (the Lincoln Lawyer) represents a woman who had been convicted of killing her ex- husband, a police officer, 5 years before. She insisted that she was innocent, and with Harry Bosch's help, they decide to take her case.

Michael Connelly writes novels of consistent quality. They're not astounding works of literature, but they're good stories, and I always pretty much know what I'm getting when I open the cover of one of his books (or put on my headphones, in the case of audiobooks), which is a comfort. I like that this one shows some evolution in Haller and Bosch's characters. As always, I look forward to his next book.

TrishB Perfect summary 👍🏻 I love them too for that reason. 8mo

This is the lower end of the pick scale for me. I just found some of the events so improbable. There were also some things that neither Mickey nor Harry noticed, and I found the fact that they didn‘t notice these issues to be ridiculous. Overall though, I liked the story. #audiowalk

It was supposed to rain all day but didn‘t, so I got to walk today. I also got a tragus piercing while I was out. The one I‘d had before closed up, and it was my favorite piercing. #audiowalk

The last Bosch book made me have conflicting feelings about Harry. He‘s part of this new Lincoln Lawyer book, and it‘s as if the events of Desert Star never happened. I don‘t know what I think about that. I went for a walk, had lunch, came home, and the sky just opened up and poured rain. #audiowalk

Almost five years ago I started THE BLACK ECHO, the very first book in the Harry Bosch Universe. Thirty-six books later, I'm starting RESURRECTION WALK. Feels weird to be almost current on Connelly's series after reading about seven of his books per year.

Suet624 That‘s quite the accomplishment. 1mo

Just finished "Resurrection Walk" by Michael Connelly who is a favorite author. This book has both half-brothers; Micky Haller, the Lincoln Lawyer, and Harry Bosch, and is highly recommended.

I actually finished this late on the 29th and really enjoyed it. I‘ve read a couple Bosch books but not any Lincoln Lawyer ones and this one had both. Fantastic storytelling. I thought it would be my last read of 23 but I‘m working g on a re-read of the Outsiders and if I finish it trying to stay up for New Years, that will be my last one. #400+pages #rushathonchristmaschallenge @Andrew65

This is 7th book in The Lincoln Lawyer series. I don‘t know why it is not also considered part of the Harry Bosch series as Bosch plays a major role in this novel. ⬇️

suvata Mickey Haller, with his half-brother, retired LAPD detective Harry Bosch. Haller, known for taking on long-shot cases, is fresh from freeing a wrongfully convicted man. Flooded with pleas from incarcerated individuals claiming innocence, he enlists Bosch‘s help to sift through the letters.

Fantastic as always. Titus Welliver knocks it out of the park with his narration, but I'm not crazy about Peter Giles'. He's not terrible, but there's just something kind of gritty about his voice that feels put on. The story was terrific - I love the Harry/Mickey combo.

AnnR @Traci1 - I'm commenting in a different post trying not to draw the attention of the person behind the bogus profile who has been bugging you. I have sent off an email to Litsy help (litsy@librarything.com) alerting them of a spam account. In the meantime, I'd suggest blocking this person by going to their profile page and also not engaging with the person anymore. I hope this helps. 11mo
Traci1 @AnnR thanks. I didn't even know you could block people on litsy. Who'd think you'd ever need to? 11mo

I don't know how Michael Connelly writes such consistently excellent books, but he has done it again. This time Harry Bosch is working for his half-brother Mickey Haller, the Lincoln Lawyer. Alternating perspectives show Harry's reservations about working for the defense and Mickey's evolving view of his role, as they work to free an incarcerated woman who may have been wrongly convicted of murdering her husband, a deputy sheriff. A great team-up.

Mickey and Bosch team up to help a woman convicted of killing her ex-husband, an LA Sheriff‘s Deputy. A lot has gone on with Bosch and Haller since we last met them. I‘ve come to realize that even though the characters don‘t always line up, it seems their lives carry over to the next story. The details and tension move you to turn the pages. I wasn‘t sure I‘d finish this book, cause I started it right as I contracted COVID. 4⭐️
