The Butcher's Masquerade
The Butcher's Masquerade | Matt Dinniman
4 posts | 3 read
Fantasy. LitRPG. Attention. Attention. The gates are down. The hunters are loose. Run, Run, Run. A lush jungle teeming with danger. Savage dinosaurs seeking blood. A fallen princess intent on vengeance. A mysterious, end-of-floor celebration for the top crawlers, dubbed The Butcher's Masquerade. The sixth floor. The Hunting Grounds. As the remaining crawlers battle for their lives, a new, terrible threat looms. Outside tourists are finally allowed to enter the game, and they are here and ready to hunt. Among them is Vrah, a famed and veteran hunter, intent on collecting the biggest trophy of her career. But their prey is far from harmless, and this season they are fighting back. Dungeon Crawler Carl and Princess Donut return in book five of the acclaimed litrpg series.

LitRPG is not for all readers, but for those of us who love it, I‘m not sure we‘ll ever tire of Carl trawling through the dungeon in his heart-printed boxer shorts outfoxing the rules with the help of Princess Donut and a dwindling cast of fellow crawlers. Many deaths in book 5 and a huge gulp moment at the very end.

Pogue Donut and Mongo forever! 2w
DogMomIrene @Pogue Yes! I‘m glad Mongo has survived everything that‘s been thrown at him. 1w
Pogue @DogMomIrene I just finished the one about the Iron Tangle. That was a mess. 1w

#TenBeforeTheEnd progress is better than I would have thought when I created my original line up. Planning on finding more audiobook time because I‘ve got just under 10 hours to go on tagged book. 14 hours if I need to drop my speed. Audiocooking requires a slower speed for me. I don‘t think it will take me long to read Bookshops & Bonedust, so I think I‘m actually going to finish this challenge, which makes me feel great about wrapping up 2024.

Deblovestoread Doing great! 3w
DogMomIrene @Deblovestoread Thank you! I‘m really surprised how I pulled this one together. 3w
