The story ended up getting better beyond the over use of poor similes. It really got better and I was left guessing on who is the bad guy. I enjoyed the sister interactions and how the author plugged issues from the past to the present.

I am in the beginning of this book. The sisters just arrived to Bone Hill. The amount of similes this writer does are poorly written. Every paragraph is had a sentence “like a ____”. It is very distracting from what seems to a be fun read.

An ARC I had in my #Scarathlon TBR (although it has since been published) with #Bones in the title. One of the books I want to try to get to this month. BTW- I love the cover!
+6 points for Team #SpookyGhostClub 🖤👻🖤
This makes for a fun, witchy read for the #SpookySeason! Cordelia and her sister, Eustace, moved around a lot as children, driven by their mother‘s idiosyncrasies but after her mysterious death, with both women struggling with their lives, the answer seems to come with their sudden inheritance of a Connecticut mansion— one that‘s filled with heirlooms & secrets as they learn to embrace what being a Bone woman really means! Exciting & entertaining!
Another good fall read!
