pickVery well written family story of survival against the historical background of Nazi Germany and Stalin‘s Soviet Union. The things these people went through under both evil regimes.
Hubby having a lie in for Father‘s Day and daughter only got in at 4am after night out with friends, hoping for at least a quiet hour to read. This book is so interesting. Have to remind myself it‘s NF (by that I mean that so much happens to these families.)
