so-soI‘ve been a John Sandford fan for more years than I care to admit. I‘ve read a boatload of the Prey books, following Lucas Davenport‘s career. I even stuck with him through the Flowers novels. I‘ve now read both of the books featuring Letty Davenport (Lucas‘s adopted daughter) but I doubt I‘ll read the next. She‘s a flat character, a pale echo of Lucas, or even Virgil fu*king Flowers . The plot here is foolish with more killing than necessary.
pickI thought this one was much better than the 1st in the Letty Davenport series. Great pacing and plotting, lots of action. I would like to see a softer, more personal side to Letty, but I get that that isn't what Sandford is doing with this character - she's a bit like a female Jack Reacher. #mystery #thriller
I love Letty Davenport!
This is the second in the Letty series and it was just as good as the first one in this series. I love that Kaiser makes an appearance-he's also one of my faves.
