I 💕 this intro to 2 Corinthians. There are so many times as a Lutheran school teacher that ministry is just madness.

This is an interesting graphic found in the middle of 1 Corinthians reading today.

You don't always think about God's miracles in the OT, but this is an amazing list of just miracles of Jonah.

What bad news is this coming from Obadiah. Good thing I am reading through all the prophets, or there would be no hope.

It is so fun to read the minor prophets and see what I have missed in previous stages of my life.

Stephens recall of the entire OT history of the Israelites is amazing. And then when being stoned he is asking for their forgiveness. I don't think I would ever be that strong. God works in amazing ways.

I am finding Job to be very interesting, and able to apply along to my own life.
This chart about suffering is quite interesting to read and ponder.

BookBabe It sure is, thanks for sharing. My goal is to regularly do a lot of column A, so that hopefully God doesn‘t feel that I would benefit from suffering to achieve those things 😬 2y

Some days I feel like Absalom, alway looking on the wrong places for what I need.
Side note: I have read and studied the Bible most of my life, but why is it that people getting hung or decapitated is standing out so much to me this read through? It is so strange what I am picking out this go around.

BookBabe Yes! I‘ve heard that‘s how it works…every read through, different things jump out at us. That‘s why I‘m excited to read the Bible more and more! After this 52 week plan, I‘m hoping to do a few 90-day plans back to back, Lord willing! 🙌🏻 3y

It is always nice to read about people who are not perfect, and yet God uses them for good.
It is crazy how much David does that is not seem good, but God still uses him..

BookBabe I noticed the recurring theme of God using imperfect people, too. Abraham & Sarah, Moses & Aaron, even Noah 3y

I finally finished Judges!

BookBabe 😃👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 3y
BookBabe Re the Delilah commentary in the picture: I don‘t know if I agree that Samson didn‘t realize he couldn‘t trust Delilah until it was too late. Could he really have been that gullible? Delilah had a couple of attempts leading up to his finally divulging his secret, which made it completely apparent what she was up to. He should‘ve known better! 3y

I find this to graphic to be interesting. I went with a friend to a non denominational church on Sunday, I am a Lutheran born and raised, and I felt like they had the sight part and the sky and part down.
In my Lutheran world it seems that we have more of those senses going on. I am able to taste the body and blood during communion, I am able to touch and hold onto my hymnal or service folder.
Please don't take this wrong,⬇️

cwarnier I am not saying one is better than the other, it is just different. 3y
cwarnier My real point here was that I can't even begin to imagine what worship would have looked like or felt like at this time in history. How amazing it would have been to see the colors and the structures built and to hear all of those instruments, and see the sacrifices being done. 3y

I never really knew that other religions endorsed prostitution.

BookBabe 😳 Yikes. I didn‘t either. ……… Your Bible offers some important words of wisdom here! 3y

I look to Psalms, and sometimes Proverbs, for all kinds of situations. This "chart" is a great reminder of why that is.

BookBabe Yes! Love this! ❤️ I do the same. 3y

I am finding these graphics very helpful in reading Leviticus. It can be such a hard book to read through.

Sometimes I think it far to easy to forget what life was like for the Israelites and what they faced. This is a great reminder.

@BookBabe
I am using this bible for the extras. I am not a huge fan of the NLT. So I usually have read and ESV version and then reference d this.

BookBabe Thanks for sharing! Sounds like a good strategy 🙂 3y
booksaremyfavorite I love the Life Application study bible! I own copies in NIV and NKJV. It‘s my go to bible for notes when I‘m studying. 3y
