Great start to my Black History Month reading! From the 1930s to 60s, the Green Book was published to help Black motorists travel safely on long distance car trips, very helpful during the Great Migration. Hall set out on two trips following paths from north to south, talking to people along the way about their travel experiences during Jim Crow and trying to visit places mentioned in iterations of the Green Book. Enlightening!
