In the spirit of Colleen Hoover and Jojo Moyess Me Before You, an unforgettable and heartbreaking love story with an earth-shattering secret at its core that asks the question: is love worth risking everything for? An earth-shattering secret. A life-changing love story. When Wren realizes her fianc is in love with someone else, she thinks her heart will never recover. On the other side of the world, Anders lost his wife four years ago and is still struggling to move on. Wren hopes that spending the summer with her dad and step-family on their farm in Indiana will help her to heal. There, amid the cornfields and fireflies, she and Anders cross paths and their worlds are turned upside-down again. But Wren doesn't know that Anders is harboring a secret, and if he acts on any feelings he has for Wren it will have serious fall-out for everyone. Walking away would hurt Wren more than she can imagine. But, knowing the truth, how can she possibly stay?

A beautiful story about family, growth, and love. I did not see the twist coming at all, but I fell in love with the characters. ❤️

Love love loved this book! Wasn‘t expecting the reason why Anders wasn‘t into Wren romantically, and then the story made me so weepy, but in the best way! I loved the author‘s style of writing, and can‘t wait to read whatever she writes next!

Ooh, I needed a good love story. This isn‘t “one for the ages” but you get all of the emotions. A little kitschy and predictable, but I devoured this one today. Book #29 in 2023

I enjoyed this one, maybe not greatly but a solid good. Wren, a 32 yo architect in the UK, flies to her dad‘s in small town Indiana for some healing following a breakup with her fiancé. She meets brothers Anders and Jonas from a neighboring farm and along with her half-sister Bailey, begins to foster friendships with them. As she begins to develop deeper feelings for Anders, she learns a devastating secret that could change everything. This story?

robinb touches on several things. There are misunderstandings and feelings of not belonging to your parent‘s new family, growing relationships on limited time together, living up to a parent‘s expectations, maneuvering through a minefield of emotions when a heartbreaking situation is revealed, etc. I liked the characters here, especially the way the brotherly bond was portrayed. I was totally thrown by the secret (75% in) and 🔻 2y
robinb actually surprised by the character that it centers around and a bit perturbed at its not being disclosed sooner. Also I felt that character‘s subsequent guilt/emotional breakdown was too overdone and out of character. But the wrap up was lovely and left some warm fuzzies with it. 4.25/5⭐️ 2y

This book will be pub in April 25th
Wren and Anders were both trying to find themselves when they met. Wren had a strong opinion about relationships, specially because her parents got divorced due to her dad‘s unfaithfulness and she just got dumped by her fiancé. Anders were still in love with his ex, not so ex, -wife. The plot guides the reader through their relationship and raise questions that anyone thought they always have known the answers.
