Meh. I like bodyguard romances, but this one just felt… I think maybe if I‘d read the first book, I‘d be able to follow better, but I am not interested in backtracking. It‘s fine, but certainly not the best rom I‘ve read this year.

I mostly loved this. My beliefs include a) the British royal family are a bunch of colonizing shits hoarding wealth, b) ACAB, c) military service should not be glorified. It's not that this VERY sexy, funny, and romantic story about a royal bodyguard and a royal personal assistant is about those things, but they are in the background, not exactly condoned but neither are they questioned. Anyway, this couple is great, incredible chemistry!

Next vacation read!

I think I'm going to have to reread this one to settle on my opinion! It didn't really follow the tropes of fake dating as I expected it to, and I love those tropes dearly, but I ALSO loved Pet and Matthias and their more tentative journey toward one another, so I really can't complain. #romanticcomedy #contemporaryromance

Battle Royal is one of my ALL time favorite romcoms so I am soooooooooo excited!

Quiet, super trope-y, and sweet, Lucy Parker‘s newest release is sure to delight her fans. In Codename Charming, she employed a lot of themes I enjoy in a Romance novel — Beauty and the Beast, Opposites Attract, Grumpy/Sunshine, Workplace Romance (between equals), and Fake Dating. Throw in height difference and a little bit of a “fated mates” vibe and it‘s hitting all my soft spots. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The book has it all in the name! A fast paced, charming romance filled with royals, bodyguards, and a quirky cast of characters. I especially like the Auntie who is possibly fencing castle artifacts?! So enjoyable and laugh out loud funny!
