Thank you to Revell for sending me this FREE COPY to review for them!! This was The 4th Novel I've read by Laura Frantz, Author which is safe to say she's one of MY Favorite Historical Fiction Authors as of recent. The way she captivated the readers attention with the facts and research she does to make the story enjoyable is why she's a favorite of mine. The Characters were so interesting and enjoyable to read about.

Genre: Historical Romance
In 1715, Lady Blythe Hedley's father is declared an enemy of the British crown because of his Jacobite sympathies, forcing her to flee her home in northern England. Secreted to the tower of Wedderburn Castle in Scotland, Lady Blythe awaits who will ultimately be crowned king. But in a house with seven sons and numerous servants, her presence soon becomes known.
Through beautiful and skilled writing, I was deeply drawn into the storyline of this novel. Every time I picked up this book, I time traveled to Scotland in the early 1700‘s. I saw the beautiful gardens, inhaled the various scents, tasted their food, heard the bagpipes and fiddles and felt the emotions of the characters that I came to love. I highly recommend this book!
“Amid the Jacobite uprising of 1715, an English heiress flees to the Scottish lowlands to stay with allies of her powerful family.”

“Blessedly alone, Blythe sought an upholstered bench in a little alcove where she was hidden from sight, uncaring about the crush of her violet taffeta skirts.”
Wonder what that is about? Check out the full post.
