@tpixie tagged me for the 7 books that impacted me challenge a couple of weeks ago & I only got to Day 3 before I got busy & forgot.😬

There are many cookbooks that impacted me but I consider this book, one of my first grownup purchases in in the mid-80s, as the one that first expanded my food horizons from the good but basic dishes my mom, Betty Crocker & Better Homes & Gardens to more exotic & gourmet fare. I felt so fancy!😆

#Day16 #AugustPhotoChallenge #authorcollab For my favorite author collaboration, I went to Julee Rosso & Sheila Lukins of The Silver Palate cookbooks-all the rage for entertaining in the 80s-90s. I had other basic cookbooks but these were my first 'fancy, grownup' cookbooks & have a prominent place on my shelves. The SP authors went on to write separate cookbooks & sadly Lukins died in 2009 but these books are true classics ❤️ 📚#AugustofPages
