What a sweet way to end the year. I appreciate a contemporary romance that offers more than a myopic view of one couple getting together. This was more a coming of age novel featuring Beatles references, delicious foods, and heartfelt found family. One of my favorite reads of the year!

Enjoyable but not as good as her first book. It picked up and felt the relationships forming as the book went on.

Weaving filial piety, magical realism, found family, friendship, the Beatles, food, and romance into a cohesive story requires mad skills and loads of talent. Ms. Lim has those in abundance. 4.5 stars
