Deina is forced into being a soul severer and her dearest wish is to escape, she is working hard to change her life and every mortal soul she takes to the dead realms helps her to work off her fee and attain her freedom.
But King Orpheus offers her a way out, a way to gain her liberty quicker than she could ever imagine.
All she has to do to attain it is help to free his Queen Eurydice from the underworld.

Deina is desperately unhappy, she works as a soul severer escorting the dead to the other realms.
Her mission in life is to escape this fate and to be free, she can only do this by working off a huge debt by slowly amassing the souls she helps.
Then one day hope comes in the shape of the ruthless King Orpheus who wants her and a group to journey to the underworld to resurrect his dead queen Eurydice.
In return they will gain their freedom.

Deina is one of many soul severers of the house of Hades.
It wasn't a life choice she has been selected to follow this life and all she ever dreams of is her freedom.
Now she is being offered it, King Orpheus is offering the soul severers a chance to be free if only they will bring back his Queen Eurydice from the dead.
But Deina has to work with a group she doesn't even completely trust and who will all sell each other our in a heartbeat...
