pickYet another wonderful book in the War of 1812 Series, which really tells the story of victory by a much lesser force, helped by fear of Indians by the American forces of the time, although this is really too simplistic a view of the book. Wonderfully written and enjoyed al three books. I do wonder whether there will eventually be another one in the series. Loved the spying and intrigue in this mini series. Recommended.

Enjoying a lot of historical fiction at the moment and reading the third (and currently last) book in the War of 1812 series. So far these have been great reads, with an excellent central character.
The fog was a blanket of rotten eggs, the sulphurous reek of gun smoke lingering in the air after the previous day‘s bombardment.
