I wanted to like this, but overall the narrative wasn‘t as coherent as it could have been. Nice reminder that doing nice things for ourselves is very important

These days I like my memoirs with a bit extra, and I appreciated all the research and sociology Aimée added to her exploration of dating and loneliness. Kind of a mashup of Spinster and Seek You (tagged ⬇️)
Aimée had been single for several years when she began to question whether she‘d be alone forever. While she doesn‘t identify as aroace, I could definitely relate to this. She dips back into dating while looking into long-term life uncoupled.
This #NewReleaseTuesday is a lot of nonfiction! I started with the tagged, and even though I‘m trying to cut back on memoirs, it has a bit of social science, too. Kind of like Seek You that I loved last year.
I‘ll tag the other 3 below. I‘m really excited about The Nineties as well. It came a bit later in the day or else I‘d be reading it first.
I can‘t believe I was lucky enough to get 11 new books in the past 24 hours!! So exciting!!
