pickAbsolute gem of a book. Such interesting and fascinating tour through history, I love armchair archaeology reads.

This book is so interesting but it‘s taking so long to finish. I started this 6 months ago and only half way through with sporadic reading sessions.
pickA pick, although a less excited pick than I was hoping for. This is the companion to the BBC documentary series. While it is well written, some recapping makes it feel like there are commercial breaks 🤔 But I did like the subject matter and the 2 sets of colour plates.
Seeing all the wonderful #tbrbingo posts, I had to start my own. I actually made a promise to my husband that I wouldn't buy any new books for the rest of the year and instead work my way through my #tbrshelf. Some of the books I'm really looking forward to, some though were gifts or I picked up really cheap and not my usual type of books so we shall see how they go!
On my TBR is this book, bought at the National Museum of Scotland. Neil Oliver is well known for his hair 😉
