The narrator was great. But the story was lacking. I didn't care for the ending. It was a bit gross. Also, it got overly descriptive of the clothing. As well as just falling flat. I mean it was okay and I liked some of the characters, but it was a bit predictable. I saw most of the twists coming. But I liked that it was diverse and most of the characters were lovable, but not the main mc.

This YA camp thriller hooks the reader in with a great audio performance right away. Arlee arrives at the same summer camp her mother once attended (and where she‘s still talked about, Arlee realizes) trying to be hopeful about new friends, though her debilitating fear of insects has her beyond nervous about the outdoorsy camp. With intense crushes, illicit parties & a secret camp society, what soon seems like a summer of fun takes a darker turn…

1. Currently devouring Primal Animals (and several other books but this is the one I‘m focusing on this weekend.)

2. Cold! 15 degrees and partly cloudy. Still some sun peeking through.

3. Nice hot tea, fuzzy socks, and a nap.
