This story celebrates the differences in features across different people and even though someone may look different it's good to celebrate those differences. The color choices in this book and the use of pictures show even deeper what the overall meaning of the story is and really capture the attention of any aged reader.

This picture books tells a heartwarming and empowering story of a young boy who is not proud of who he is, simply because he does not look exactly like his peers. Through ancient storytelling from his father and grandfather, this young boy learns to love himself and feel empowered by his differences. This story is a great way to lead a discussion on inclusivity, understanding different cultures, and the importance of being proud of who you are.
