Thanks @Twainy for your posts about this book! Dr. Vora is a holistic psychiatrist who explains anxiety in two ways: false anxiety and real anxiety. There are things in our lives that cause anxiety, i.e. diet. Regarding real anxiety, she offers suggestions such as meditation and breathing exercises. This is an excellent book for people new to learning about anxiety and holistic coping mechanisms.

Twainy I got the hard cover for Christmas so I‘m going to pour through it and annotate it. I‘m by no means a holistic super supporter but it was a great audiobook with some good ideas. Some I already use naturally and some I want to look into. I‘m glad you liked it. 👍🏻 2y
NatalieR @Twainy I hope you have success with some of the author‘s ideas. 💜 2y

🎧 The author narrates & feels lighthearted.

Take a look at your environment, what you put into your body, what you take out, how you do things, sleep, meditation, vitamins/minerals, hobbies, the arts, alternative medicine, etc.

There‘s a lot of good ideas that she leaves you to unpack. Maybe one small change will impact you more than you know.

I want the book as I‘d like to reread it & highlight some simple changes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4

I found this informative and possibly useful, and very easy to follow for nonfiction/self help.

It‘s mostly about ways to possibly manage and overcome anxiety with diet (not like going on a diet but as in eating nutritiously), sleep, and exercise. She‘s not against meds, but offers alternative options if you‘d like to either try a different approach or if you‘d like to get off meds you might currently be taking.
