This story takes us back to Cornwall in 1800. The main character is a woman named Madeleine who has just been rescued from false imprisonment in a madhouse. She knows that she was not mad and should not have spent the last 14 years being moved from one asylum to the next. While finding out who did this to her, she uncovered the truth about her late husband.
